Centennial Service Project
The BSA Centennial Service
Project in the Chattahoochee National Forest taking place on March. This is your opportunity, as an individual or as a
unit, to participate in one of the largest service projects in the
Northeast Georgia Council's history. What better way to celebrate the
long legacy of service and leadership that the Boy Scouts represent!
All Scouts and Scouters are invited to participate - from Tigers to
Varsity and beyond. Details are available on the Council website:
www.nega-bsa.org, as well as the registration form. Registration due date is February 1.
Tenderfoot Carepages
Our friend Chase has had a relapse of his leukemia. He will be going through another round of chemotherapy and bone marrow asperation. If you would like to keep up with Chase and his recovery you may once again use the "Tenderfoot Carepages".
Take the Survey
The Boy Scouts of America is considering introducing a Boy Scout shirt made by Under Armour.
Boy Scouts could wear the shirt while doing activities such as service projects, hiking, camping, and other troop activities.
Click National Survey if you would like to help choose the new BSA activity shirt.
We Have a "NEW" home!!
Troop 774 is now chartered by AA Drilling and Blasting. We have a new meeting place and have worked hard to get it in shape. Our Troop meetings and Committee meetings are now held at the new Troop "Cabin" located on Browns Bridge Rd. If you need details please contact our Troop Comittee Chair, John King.
National Councils Website has new look
The National Councils website has a new look. It has been set up for easier access for each visitor. You can browse the site as a Youth, Parent, Volunteer, Visitor or Alumni. Have a look and make sure to create a login and take the required training from the Online Training Center.
Adult Leader and Parent Training
The National Council has updated training available. What was formerly called "New Leader Essentials" is now "This is Scouting". This training is required for all adult leaders and committee members. However those who are not registered "Scouters" may also create an account and view the training. Click Here or go to the "Adult Leader Training" on the menu bar for a link to the National Councils "Online Learning Center"
Donations
Our Troop, as with most Troops is always in need of equipment. We have several fund raisers each year to raise money for this equipment. The boys also earn money through the Troop to help fund their annual trips to summer camp and for other high adventure outings. If you would like to donate to the Troop, please use the link below. Remember to print out a receipt, your donation is tax deductable. Thank You from Troop 774.
