Each month our Troop Committee meets to discuss and plan for the Troops operation and upcoming events. The Committee meetings are held at the New Scout "Cabin" during regularly scheduled Troop meetings for the boys. Meetings are typically held the third Monday of each month. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings and become part of the Committee. If you have any concerns or anything you would like to discuss please contact the Committee Chair Gene Deiters and have it added to the next meeting agenda.

Committee Meetings: The troop committee meets the third Monday of every month unless otherwise notified.

Next meeting is Monday March 15th at the SCOUT HUT.

Equipment checklists: You will now find ALL the equipment checklists from the Scout Handbook listed under the "Guidelines and Forms" menu button on our Home page. These lists contain all of the basic equipment you son will need for outings, campouts ... The page in the Scout Handbook they are located on is also referenced. The lists are from the new Handbook. Although it is not required, it is recommended that everyone start using the new Handbooks. They are layed out in a more user friendly format and are filled with historical information from Scoutings past. The Handbooks may be purchased at any of the Service Centers for about $10.

New BSA Medical Forms: A new form titled "Annual Health an Medical Record" has replaced the old BSA Medical Forms. You may access the form on our site by clicking the "Guidelines and Forms" menu button on our Home page. This is an interactive Adobe form that may be filled out while on your PC and then printed out or taken to your physician on a "USB jump drive" where s/he can fill it out and print it from their office PC.

New Training to replace "New Leader Essentials": This training is required for all Adult Scout leaders and committee members, and is available online on the National Councils Online Learning Center. Please use the link to the OLC from our Home page under the "Adult Leader Training" menu. You will need to create a login and use your Scout Leader registration number. Those without a BSA registration number will also be able to access the material.

Equipment at a discount: The Troop has purchased 6 new tents from Alps Mountaineering's Scoutdirect website. Alps Mountaineering offers high Quaility Equipment at a 45% discount to Scout Troops. This includes the scouts family. All you need to do to get the troops discount is to go to the ScoutDirect website and follow the directions to create an account. Check out the Alps Mountaineering website to see their product line.

Troop email accounts - anyone that would like a troop email account please contact the webmaster. These accounts will end in @troop774.org. We will help you get set up to download your email from our Internet Service Provider.

There has been many updates to this website. It is being designed to provide important information for Scouts, adult leaders AND parents. Please encourage your boys to use the site to help them with advancement, leadership positions and all sorts of Scouting related information. We are working on adding much of the documentation the boys will need for advancement to be accessed and downloaded from the website so that they will not need to wait to get it at the Troop meetings.
